Jesus Christ said, "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4Whoever becomes humble like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me."(Mathew 18:3-5)

Because of this we take seriously the responsibility of teaching children about Christ's love for them and for others. Therefore, we have many opportunities for children to participate in the life of the church.

Sunday School

We offer classes for children according to their age.                                                 Beginners Class - Pre School
                                                       God's Helpers - K to 2nd grade
Middlers - 3 to 5th grade
Junior / Senior High 6th to 12th grade
We begin each Sunday by gathering as a congregation to sing songs of God's glory which are always culminated by the beautiful singing of the children. We then disperse to our Sunday School classes where children and adults learn about Jesus Christ and God's plan for each of us.

Christian Kids Club--for over 25 years we have welcomed hundreds of children to our after school, faith-building, program, first as the LOGOS program and now as the Christian Kids Club. From September to April every year children from 3-12 years old gather at the Christian church on Wednesdays from 4:00-6:00 to sing songs, play games, make crafts, eat lovingly prepared meals, and learn about God's love for them in fun and exciting ways.

We haven't forgotten the adults! We offer three Christian Education classes for adults who wish to increase their knowledge of the Bible, deepen their faith in Jesus Christ, and cement their bond of fellowship with other Christians.

Youth Group

We offer two youth groups which both meet once a month for Food, Faith, and Fun, because we include these three elements in everything we do. The Jr. Youth Group is for children from K-4th grade and the Sr. Youth Group is for anyone from 5th-12th grade.  In the past we have gone hiking, rafting, biking, and caving. We have carved pumpkins, played games and listened to music together. We have had scavenger hunts, picnics and meals, snacks and treats. We have discussed God's plan for our lives, Christ's love for each of us, our place in the body of Christ, and how God can help us in making decisions. All in all we find fun in God and we find God in all that we do. We hope you will too.

We want you to know that there is always room for one more child.

Vacation Bible School

Each summer we put together a lively, fun, and educational VBS for the children to enjoy learning about Jesus and spending time with one another. Our 2015 VBS runs from August 3-7 from 4-6.

In the past we have had themes such as, Heartbeat Hospital, the Good News Farm, and Castletown. This past year the children sailed the sea as Pirates in search treasures in Heaven, all the while learning about God's goodness and wonder.

During this time they play games, hear stories, make crafts, enjoy snacks, and sing songs, all with a biblical theme.

Be sure to check back in the spring to learn the date and theme for our next VBS adventure!

In the meantime, enjoy these pictures from Vacation Bible Schools of the past.

Jr. Choir, Acolytes, and Jr. Diaconate-Youth also have the opportunity to participate in our morning worship service as well. the Jr. Choir is made up of children of all ages who practice once a month and sing songs during the Sunday service a few times a year.

Acolytes are children who light the candles in the sanctuary before the service and put them out afterwards representing the coming of Christ's light into our presence and his light leading us out into the world.

The Junior Diaconate is comprised of all youth once they become members of the church after baptism (usually at age 12). They help with taking offering and serving communion. In this way we hope that children will see that they are just as much a part of the church as adults.
